Carrick Tae Kwon Do
We are a new club that opened in August 2022 in Carrick Academy, our club is family oriented and we are open to children and adults of all ages participating in our sessions.
Classes take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
We are proud to be a part of the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain (TAGB).
Our classes teach the Korean martial art Tae Kwon Do, and we aim to promote health and wellbeing as well as teaching Focus, Discipline, Co-ordination, Confidence, Respect and Teamwork.
Instructor
The classes are run by Mr Connor Mulgrew 3rd degree Black Belt and fully qualified BTC and TAGB Instructor. Connor started training at the age of 11 in Prestwick and now has over 10 years experience in Tae Kwon Do. He has competed both nationally and internationally and is a current member of the TAGB Scotland's men squad. Connor has immersed himself in all aspects of the martial art competing in both patterns and sparring and has won multiple national titles through the years. Connor also discovered he had a passion for teaching others Tae Kwon Do after helping out at both the Prestwick and Ayr clubs for over 3 years before achieving his assistant instructors and eventually becoming a fully qualified instructor. Connor hopes that through his club he will be able to help others discover their talent and find a sport they can enjoy as much as he does.
